Vacancy Description
ICI Paints manufactures Paint and Decorative products to help people transform their surroundings at home and at work. Brands include: Dulux; Glidden; Hammerite; Cuprinol; Polycell and Alabastine.
The Supply Chain function is at the core of the Paints Business and covers a diverse range of areas from procurement, planning and manufacturing through to engineering and logistics.
You will receive structured, tailored development across the breadth of Supply Chain through challenging, real-life projects and roles in order to develop your skills as a Supply Chain professional.
You will rotate every 4-6 months in a number of placements across the Supply Chain Function, your first role could be as a part of a team of 8-10 individuals who work on manufacturing operations, delivering vital engineering solutions. Alternatively, you may work on significant projects within our planning and logistics area. As you grow and develop in the role, you will take on more responsibility for continuous improvement, project development and implementation. One of your placements will be in a commercial role to broaden your knowledge and understanding in this area.
Your initial start location is likely to be in Slough, Berkshire. However, there will also be opportunities for you to work in other operations in the UK, Ireland and depending on business opportunities, in Europe, during your first 2 years.
Specific Requirements
To be considered for these roles, individuals are sought with a degree in mechanical, chemical or manufacturing engineering who have achieved or who are on target to achieve a 2:1. (Equivalencies: NL: 7-10; GE: 1-2.5; FR: 12-20; SP: Distinction or above).
You must also have achieved a minimum 22/280 UCAS points (NL: VWO 7-10; GE: Abitur 1-2.6; FR: Bac 12-20; SP: Bach 7-10) and speak fluent English.
A second European language would be an advantage.
We are looking for graduates who have experienced vacation work or placements relevant to Supply Chain/Operations or significant work experience in a customer or supplier facing role within a FMCG environment and can demonstrate at least one significant position of responsibility outside of academic studies.
You must have full permission to live and work in the EU on a permanent basis.
